Structure & Features:

The Roots-screw vacuum unit comprises a Roots pump and a screw pump in series, equipped with piping, valves, base frame and electric control cabinet. The Roots pump is started by a vacuum sensor and vacuum relay once the backing screw pump is operational. As the rotating components of both the Roots pump and screw pump are non-contacting, the unit delivers stable operation, low noise, minimal vibration, compact structure and small footprint. This series is a dry vacuum unit with zero discharge of waste water or waste oil.

Application:

Roots-screw vacuum units are better suited for low-pressure operation than standalone screw vacuum pumps. For example, a vacuum distillation process requiring a pumping speed of 300 L/s and an operating pressure of 1000 Pa can adopt the JZPLG300-4 vacuum unit (15 kW). It provides higher energy efficiency than a single LG300 screw vacuum pump (37 kW) and achieves a lower ultimate pressure.
